Libe Slope is a beautiful hill on Cornell campus in Ithaca, NY. The university, as part of their sustainable management practices, has decided to manage this space as a "meadow" slope to promote and sustain biodiversity and naturalization on campus, and reduce carbon emissions that result from mowing. It is also an excellent place to observe stars especially during Earth Day when fairtrade hot chocolate and concerts are available.
The space is daily open space great for relaxation, where people can socialize and enjoy the beauty of the environment - especially during the fall. This is a car-free space with several cycling and walking paths.
There are also several old trees such a hickory and an oak. http://exhibits.mannlib.cornell.edu/hill/index.php?page=LibeHickory
