Keweenaw Green Cemetery

A conservation cemetery for green burial on beautifully forested land northwest of Calumet. Green burials involve no embalming, a simple bio-degradable casket, no concrete vault, and no marble-type headstones or markers. Local funeral homes assist with funerals.
The Keweenaw Green Cemetery Association, a 501 (c)(13) corporation, is embarking on an $80,000 fundraising campaign (as of July 2010) to make this site a reality. To inquire about helping us with your ideas, talents, or financial contributions, please contact us.
