Mary Lake, located in King, was land acquired by Henry Pellatt as an estate, he owned it until the 1930's when he sold it to the Archdiocese of Toronto, it is currently still owned by the Archdiocese and is being used by an Augustinian order. Land that is not developed is a wildlife refuge, and is a special area in the local environment. Today Mark Lake is used a retreat centre, for youth day trips, clergy days, weekend groups and teach faith days.
