This cemetery was originally the family burying grounds on the Hendrick Stryker family farm. Hendrick Stryker died in 1786 and was buried at the site which was later used by other family members. In 1886, Mrs. Jane Stryker conveyed the cemetery lands and access thereto to the Unionville Cemetery Association which still operates the cemetery. Over 140 internments have been made in the cemetery.
