Washington Township Olde Stone House Village Demonstration Rain Garden

History:
The Old Stone House Village rain garden was installed as part of the Landscaper Training program, targeting landscapers in South Jersey. The Landscaper Training program was funded by the United States Department of Agriculture Cooperative State Research Education and Extension Service National Integrated Water Quality Program under agreement number 2007-51130-03878.
Type of Runoff Managed:
This rain garden managed stormwater from the Old Stone House Village parking lot and roof through a downspout leading into the rain garden. Any overflow in the rain garden is routed into a nearby pond.
Installation:
Rutgers Cooperative Extension Faculty and Staff and approximately ten (10) Master Gardeners of Gloucester Countyvolunteered their time to help install this rain garden.
Maintenance:
The rain garden is maintained by the Master Gardeners of Gloucester County.
