Lumpkin County Middle School
Overview
There is only one middle school in the county at the present time. It is located in the city limits and has a unique set up. The middle school expanded when the new high school was built and now occupies the old high school and the original middle school. However, they have divided the grades. 6th grade is in the original middle school and separate from the 7th & 8th graders which are located in the old high school. These buildings are about 300 feet from each other but function separately with their own lunchrooms and gyms.
