The Creative Little Garden was also aided by Liz Christy (see Liz Christy Garden), but its main founder was a former French resistance fighter by the name of Francoise Cachelin who started it in order to deal with a dangerous burned out building plot. A shady and narrow garden that is most defined by its large weeping willow at the back of the garden, from the very start it incorporated an arts element including sculpture installations at the same time shrubbery was planted and garden paths created. The result is a charming respite from the clamor of city life; the view from the discretely placed benches allows for contemplative musings to take place in relative seclusion, a true luxury in a busy city. It is a place that neighborhood residents have quietly fallen in love with over the years and are grateful has been beautifully redone recently after having been threatened by the rebuilding on an adjoining lot
