Der Soziale Ökohof St. Josef betreibt auf 40ha biologische Landwirtschaft nach Bioland-Richtlinien. Ein großer Teil der Erzeugnisse aus Ackerbau, Hühnerhaltung und Gärtnerei wird im hofeigenen Bioladen in der Papenburger Innenstadt verkauft.
Der Hof verwendet Solartechnik und bezieht Ökostrom.
Im Rahmen des Projektes wird durch den Verein besonders die Einbindung beeinträchtiger Menschen in das Arbeitsleben gefördert.
