History of this Location

One would not expect to find such an excellent, high-tech museum, such as this one, while walking in the historic Portuguese fishing village of Paraty. This museum provides a look at the history and flavor of this jewel of the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest. The museum, opened in 2004, was made possible through a partnership between Eletronuclear, the City Hall of Paraty, the foundation of Robert Marinho and Votorantim.

Sustainable Features

This museum celebrates the history and people of Paraty with audio and video clips, photography, maps and other documents. It is operated by the local people of Paraty.
