We are a group of Pace University students who search out sustainable destinations in selected locations in Brazil. In 2015 at Paraty 33, we discovered that their menus were printed on 100% recycled paper and the same menus are distributed and collected back from customers (i.e. no paper waste). We also discovered that their ingredients and utilized materials come in minimal packaging so to not have excessive waste when the items have been used. Paraty 33 also utilizes glass plates and silverware instead of plastic or paper, therefore minimizing their waste that way as well. We were also told that they recycle anything and everything they could.
