The Playground is an historic San Francisco neighborhood park located on Clay Street between Walnut and Laurel Streets. It sits in a quiet residential area and is surrounded by two condominium buildings. The Playground is used by San Francisco residents of all ages including infants and toddlers with their caregivers; preschoolers affiliated with nearby schools; elementary school children through a city-sponsored latch-key program; and adult basketball players and sport court users. Currently, the playground has limited greenery, outdated and non-code compliant play structures and an inefficient use of space.
