Cornerstone Church is a registered charity and a key community resource. The Sunday morning meetings are welcoming, inspirational and modern in style.
The Church runs many outreach projects that aim to involve the community, including the award-winning GAP Project. Launched in January 1998, GAP has worked with 2,000 potentially-excluded teenagers to provide social and employability skills, qualifications and the Duke of Edinburgh Award program.

Other projects include: Little Rascals (pre-school focused play for 0-4 year olds); Drama Club (for 10 - 16 year olds); Back of the Net (football for the inexperienced player, aged 9 - 11); Soulmates (focusing on sustainable relationships); sex and pregnancy education; and developing skills for parenthood. Cornerstone also helps support other churches that work with communities.

Cornerstone is committed to serving its community and working with others in the locality and city to make a difference. Cornerstone has sustainability at its core through its projects, and also through the way the Church is run; waste is kept to a minimum and recycling is encouraged, Fairtrade tea and coffee is served, and the building is energy efficient.
