While once a nation full of laborers, Israeli's are beginning to enjoy a more leisurely lifestyle. With the increase in leisure time, café culture has taken a strong hold over the country and especially in Tel Aviv. Hundred of cafes and casual eateries line the city streets were coffee and a light meal are lingered over for hours. A visit to modern day Israel is not complete without a morning afternoon spent at one of these such establishments. Located in the Old North of Tel Aviv, Jeremiah is popular with the locals who spend their days doing work or catching up with friends at the cafes many tables overlooking the pedestrian heavy Dizengoff street. To spend the morning, afternoon or night at Jeremiah is to experience what Tel Aviv culture is today. 306 Dizengoff Street, Tel Aviv; 972 (57) 944 4050; Sun-Fri 7:30 AM- 2 AM, Sat 8:30 AM- 2 AM; $$ CC accepted
