In the village centre there is a war memorial, a co-op (which sells natural fairtrade food), a bakers and butchers (which also sell natural fair trade food), a bus stop, garvies public house, a post office and a library with disabled access. Mercat cross in the village centre bears the Heraldic arms of Edward Bruce of Carnock who became the first earl of Kincardine in 1647
