While in Athens, you must try out the amazing new metro stations. Not only will you be able to avoid traffic, get off your feet, and reduce your carbon imprint by utilizing mass transportation, you will get to experience the incredibly clean, efficient, and pleasant metro stations. Plus a ride only costs one euro. The Acropolis metro station is decorated with classical and modern artworks, even featuring an archaeological exhibit. It even has replica artifacts from the Parthenon discovered when the station was being built underground.

There are two entrances/exists to the Acropolis metro station, which are Makrigianni Street / D. Aeropagitou Street and Makrigianni Street / Athanasiou Diakou Street. It has connections with Metro Line 2 and Bus Stations.

The station puts passengers within close proximity to must see locations including the archaeological site of the Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, the Plaka district, the National Garden, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the Olympieion and many more points of interest.
