IN PROGRESS: West Grace Street Alley Beautification Project

The West Grace Street Alley Beautification Project includes an Adopt-A-Whiskey Barrel program to help increase greenery. The barrels are cut in half and filled with dirt so they are ready for planting as soon as they're delivered. The idea is to establish and maintain as many attractive planters and other plantings in the alleyways as possible. The West Grace Street Association's hope is to turn the alleyways into a source of pride for the community and to deter crime and littering at the same time.
