The Food Store & Deli
Overview
The Food Store is Dubuque's first all-organic deli with prepared sandwiches, salads and soups, as well as a retail grocery specializing in affordable, organic and local items. David Estafen operates the deli and store with his wife, Maple Breitbach. "We want to help show people how to eat with the seasons and eat locally," Estafen said, connecting the local farmer to the dinner table. The deli occupies the front half of the store, and features an open kitchen that allows customers to watch the food being prepared. The rear of the store features local produce and meats.
HOURS: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
