Overview

No votes yet

The Heron Pond wetland was required to have a 25-foot buffer of trees and vegetation to screen the area from the noise and light of the greyhound park. This buffer strip is part of the protected land. This buffer has been restored with a wide variety of hardwood trees, including red maple, green ash, black willow, river birch, swamp white oak, burr oak and pecan.
