The local people obtained water either from wells or pond reservoirs in areas, where there was no spring found. Puzi Village is situated on the lower terrace of West Dadu Mountain, and a hundred-year-old well and hundred-year-old pond still can be seen there. It’s the best description of how local people utilize the domestic water.
The Hundred-year-old well is situated in the Lane13,Zheng Qing Street in the back of Lungan woods. It’s said that the well was dug out by Pingpu tribe. The well was made by stacked stones, and it’s different from the stacked bricks. Today few residents still make use of the wells. The hundred-year-old pond is located in Shalu boundary of Dadu mountain, and it was dug by laborers, hired by the resident’s grandfather. It’s said that it cost millions of dollars to build, and laborers had to carry water and put it in a water tank everyday. Next to the pond, there is a stacked stone pond with a guardian deity. If there is a big event happening , local people will appeal to the guardian deity for blessing.
