Bygdø Kongsgård (Bygdø Royal Manor)








Rezumat
This royal estate is now being run by Norsk Folkemuseum, and the farm welcomes visitors every Sunday in August and the first half of September for drop-in horseback riding (30 kr) or a visit to the dairy barn (free). There is also an open family day in early May when the cattle is let out to graze, with an organic farmer's market and other happenings. In September there is another family day with various program. The farm offers guided tours to school classes and private groups throughout the whole year by appointment.
The Royal Manor has been certified organic since 2012, and will continue to arrange events related to this more frequently in the future. They have approximately 60 dairy cows, 90 calves, 30 sheep and 9 ponies, and a total land mass of 2000 decares.
