History of this Location

Although she has lived in Paraty for 25 years, Patricia is from Mexico and has been at her current location for 15 years. Her studio is located near the boat dock area at Rua da Praia.

Sustainable Features

Patricia uses local resources to create her art. For example, a piece she created was made from a tree trunk that washed up on the shore. All the wood she uses is certified by IBAMA (Brazilian Environmental Agency). In 2008, Patricia published a book titled Aquarelas de Paraty (Watercolor of Paraty), featuring uniquely painted architecture of the historic center. Her work preserves Paraty's culture and is unique in its style. She also participates in local community activities and festivals and makes donations.
