Sailor's Home Pond
Rezumat
Sailor’s Home Pond on Rice Road is a popular spot to skate in the winter. The pond is surrounded by a chain-link fence with gates that are opened when the ice is 4 inches thick.
Neighbors and students at nearby Beechwood Knoll Elementary School have worked hard to restore the pond to good health, and it shows. The pond is a great place to go birding or listen to bullfrogs yell “jug-o-rum.”
