Escuela General no. 4 de los Cobos participa en los talleres de educación ambiental sobre el Río Silao. En 2013 participaron 3 grupos y en 2014 participo tercero E.
Los talleres permiten a los alumnos conocer el río y su entorno a través de talleres en la aula y salidas al río Silao de los Cobos hasta la Deportiva Norte.
