A Sarasota Landmark that combines an award winning kosher style deli, a cozy gourmet neighborhood market and Nellie's dynamic full service catering business. Nellie’s Deli, Market and Catering has put in the extra effort to green their business. They are aggressively recycling, purchased recycled content and “green” products, compost food waste, and have installed a high efficiency air conditioning system. They have even introduced a “by request only” policy for providing lids and straws to their dining customers’ drinks and providing recycling containers for the catered customers.

Nellie's Deli, Market and Catering became a Sarasota County Green Business Partner in 20. The Green Business Partnership (GBP) encourages environmental stewardship in the commercial sector, and recognizes businesses that make an extra effort to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This collaborative effort includes businesses, business organizations and local governments. The GBP was initiated through a grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Sarasota County.
