All profits from the Childline shop go towards supporting the Childline helpline. The shops sells clothes, gifts, bric-a-brac, books etc. Instead of taking your unwanted household items and clothing to the tip, save on waste and take those in good condition to the Childline or other charity shops.
Childline is a 24 hr anonymous helpline for children and young people in danger or distress. The helpline number for children to call is 0800 1111. The ten most common problems children have called about since ChildLine Cymru/Wales opened in 1993, are;
Bullying, Physical abuse, Family tensions, Concern for others, Sexual abuse, Pregnancy, Facts of life, Partner relationships, problems with friends, and Sexuality.

Charity shops promote reuse, diverting useful items from being landfilled or incinerated. 100,000 tonnes of textiles pass through charity shops every year, saving the UK nearly £2 million in landfill tax alone! (London Recycling Fund Project)
Charity Shops reduces pressure on raw materials, energy, and labour, and promote sustainable development.

Training and Volunteering Opportunities
You can volunteer with Childline through their retail outlets, by fundraising, or through volunteering on the Helpline. Full training is given.
