H-Bridge at Main Street

Rezumat

The intersection at the SE foot of the H Bridge at Main Street can be dangerous because southbound cars are both coming off the bridge and coming alongside the bridge on Cortland. In addition this is a bus route as well as a taxi depot, and northbound vehicles regularly make u-turns around the median cutting between the median and the crosswalk. It is difficult, though not impossible, to get a "walk" signal. But you must push the button - on a post that is far removed from the crosswalk. This intersection is far too commercially trafficked to rely on pushing a button to get a walk signal. The central median should extend out closer to the crosswalk so that cars cannot amke a u-turn while pedestrians are crossing.
