國立台南啟智學校 National Tainan Qi-Zhi School

概览

民國六十五年十二月創立，名為台南市立啟智學校，為全國首創專為教育智障兒童之特殊學校，僅設國小部。民國七十年改制為省立並增設國中部，八十年增設高職部，八十一年幼稚部，八十三年，奉准招收十年技藝班，施以技藝訓練，八十九年改制國立，名為國立台南啟智學校。國小部課程著重生活教育、體能訓練、情緒陶冶及溝通能力的培養。國、高職著重職業生活能力的養成，推展支持性就業方案，實施適性就業安置。

National Tainan Qi-Zhi School was established in December, 1976. It was a school ever established for special education of children in Taiwan. At that time, only the elementary school division was set up. Junior high school division was established in 1980. Vocational High school was established in 1990. Kindergarten was established in 1992. Skill training classes were authorized to establish in 1994. In 2000, the school was approved to become a national institution, officially named as National Tainan Qi-Zhi School. Courses in the elementary school division focus on life-skill education, physical training, emotional control and communication skills development. As for higher education divisions, their courses focus on developing life-skill abilities and adaptive work placements.
