We produce handcrafted cheeses and butter, using traditional methods from our Greytown-based farm situated in the Midlands of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. We work with only the finest natural, fresh ingredients and raw materials to produce products that people simply love.

Just Cheese is a local Midlands small scale cheese manufacturer under the wings of MJ Mook. MJ emigrated to South Africa about 8 years ago, and started her cheese making venture in 2010. Coming from Holland, she was missing the taste of a good cheese. So after several months experimenting in the kitchen and consulting her “Dutch cheese-making friends in Holland” she got the recipe right and started to sell her cheese locally (in the Greytown area). In March 2011 Just Cheese expanded their reach to Karkloof, Howick and the Midlands Meander. Currently, MJ can be found every Saturday morning at the Karkloof Farmers Market where she cuts a variety of Cheese-Rounds at her customers requests.

MJ makes an Gouda based “Boerenkaas” Boerenkaas means cheese that is manufactured on the farm. Buttermilk MJ’s buttermilk is a low fat natural milk, which is very healthy to drink. Our butter is made in the same way as our Buttermilk. Just Wise Farm also sells wonderful organically produced olive products made by Laharna Products.
