Slentz Construction was founded in 1980 by Jerry Slentz, II. Jerry's roots and principals were built and forged while working hand-in-hand with hardworking, high-end, quality-minded, old-school carpenters and contractors right here in Southwest Florida. These became his mentors, teaching him first hand wood frame construction and instilled in him material resource management, a commitment to excellence, the importance of deadlines and the value of treating people with respect. Jerry is an active on-site, detail-oriented, construction manager.

Slentz Construction works with clients to review and analyze existing and upcoming projects. We help the client define goals, organize and manage the project, identify obstacles, and resolve problems prior to and during construction. Optimized construction strategies are the rewarding results of this process. They always utilize and define best practice, best system and quality standards for each project. Job site quality checks are performed upon completion to provide first pass yield at inspection. All our managers are fully trained in all the state and local building codes.
As a GBP, Slentz Construction is always looking for way to have a positive impact on our community. Starting with their recycling program, Slentz Construction worked with their property manager, waste contracting service and Sarasota County, resulting in better collection results. At their office, they are moving to a more electronic billing system, centralized purchasing and finding vendors and subcontractors that share in their environmentally focused efforts. On the jobsites, they are focused on a clean worksite environment. Employees look to recycle materials and construction debris, as well as divert waste from during remodels by taking items to Habitat for Humanity. Slentz Construction believes in supporting local businesses and community. They work with the Harvest House to assist individuals with employment and mentoring programs.
