Camp Wahsega is a 4-H Center and a very eco-friendly place. The director of the camp, Travis Williams, promotes many environmental education programs for kids so that they can better understand the importance of protecting the environment. At the camp, they recycle almost all materials including: plastic, cardboard, paper, cans, bottles, and glass. Also, they have many ways of saving energy and conserving water such as motion detector light bulbs, low flow toilets and showers, a separate power panel that saves electricity, and water tanks with a filtration system that recycles rain water. Overall, Camp Wahsega is a great place that cares not only about saving the environment, but also teaching about it in an attempt to spread the ideas of saving energy, conserving water, and making the environment a nicer place for me and you.
