Locally, The National Trust is very active in the conservation of the natural and built environment on Gower, including the protection of important species.
The National Trust on Gower owns 5,500 acres of land and 26 miles of coast. Sites include;
Worm’s Head, Rhossili Down, Three Cliffs Bay, Port Eynon, Bishopston Valley, Welshmoor and many more. You can go on a guided walk and learn about the Coast and Countryside, and lectures, slideshows and talks presented by experts can be given upon request.

The National Trust aims to preserve and maintain places of historic beauty and natural interest for now and future generations. The Trust protects and opens to the public over 300 historic houses and gardens and 49 industrial monuments and mills, as well as forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, downs, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves, villages

The National Trust is a charity and is completely independent of Government. It relies on membership fees, donations and legacies, and revenue raised from commercial operations. There are many volunteer opportunities to suit all tastes, so get involved! Volunteering comes with perks such as free admission and parking at all sites.

Training and Volunteering Opportunities
There are plenty opportunities for volunteers; from helping out with litter picks, to practical conservation work of all types and levels, to helping out in one of their properties or information points, up to full on-the-job training and live-in placements!
