Mausoleum
Overview
The old graveyard surrounds the site of the early pre-reformation church at Overton and has been totally neglected and virtually forgotten for many years. This site also includes the Mausoleum of the Keith family, sadly the kirkyard has been vandalised but retains an eerie feeling. The 18th century gravestones are of particular note. The Kincardine Local History Group tidied up the site in 1988 and made detailed records. The site is well worth a visit but is a bit of scramble up a steep and occasionally slippery bank, what out for brambles and nettles!
