The Museum of Anthropology’s "mission is to promote respect and appreciation for human cultural diversity . . . by its commitment to training students for future careers in museums and cultural heritage management and through community outreach in Northern California. The museum is committed to the collection, protection, and interpretation of ethnographic material culture and to share this with the community through its educational programs and events . . . and to inspire and encourage self-reflection and dialogue in broadening our understanding of the human experience."

Located in the Meriam Library complex, next to the Janet Turner Museum, on the corner of W. 1st street and Warner, the museum also sponsors the Butte Environmental Council's Endangered Species Fair.

Open Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
