Río Consota
Descripción
El río Consota es uno de los rasgos hídricos más importantes de la ciudad de Pereira. Este río ha sido objeto de diversas investigaciones por parte Convenios realizados entre las Universidades Tecnológica de Pereira y La Universidad Católica Popular de Risaralda. Además la empresa Aguas y Aguas ha trabajado con las comunidades de las quebradas tributarias del Consota para concientizar estas comunidades sobre la importancia de contribuir a la permanencia del río Consota mediante acciones orientadas a disminuir los residuos sólidos que caen a las quebradas de sus barrios para que estas lleguen limpias al río.
