Roots of Peace Community Garden is a group of college students from NJ planning to initiate a community garden project for Liberian refugees. The garden intends to work with community members and volunteers to create a safe, productive, and self-sufficient space to grow food. The garden is purchasing a compost tumbler to be able to turn organic waste from garden members and local businesses into compost for the garden. 2013 Winner of First-Ever Manhattan Community Scale Composting Contest.
