To date casual observations alone have produced 40 bird, 42 invertebrate and 167 plant species at this important local wildlife site. Significant species include the Brown-banded Carder Bee (a Section 42 Priority species) along with 23 grassland SINC selection indicator species (exceeding the qualifying level of 20), these being Bee Orchid, Black Medick, Carrot, Cat's-ear, Common Bird's-foot-trefoil, Common Centaury,Chalk Knapweed, Common Whitlowgrass, Cuckoo-flower, Eyebright, Fairy Flax, Glaucous Sedge, Meadow Crane's-bill, Meadow Vetchling, Oxeye Daisy, Parsnip, Perforate St John's-wort, Red Clover, Sheep's Fescue, Southern Marsh-orchid, Spiked Sedge, Yellow Feather-moss and Yellow Rattle. A number of Section 42 / Red List bird species also occur at the site, e.g. Song Thrush, Bullfinch and Reed Bunting.

The site qualifies as a cSINC and I suggest it is considered for designation as such.
