Green Cycle
Overview
Green-cycle is about a lifestyle.
Li Edelkoort summed it up in her Winter 2011 trend forecast: “The focus is on authenticity, honesty and local colour. Slow food and slow fashions are part of this movement towards a radical new lifestyle away from the city and its high levels of stress and testosterone, on the road to a healthier lifestyle.”
The cold reality is that we cannot all move out of the city and become farmers, but we can live with a simpler mindset and question the excess in our lives. We can inspire our families and friends to protect the earth and its resources and have fun in the process. It is a simple mindshift that will encourage a healthier body and soul.
Dalena and Heste White are married to brothers and live in Cape Town. Dalena has trained as a fashion designer and Heste as an accountant and opera singer.
"We have children, busy lives and stressful jobs, just like millions of women around the world. We also have a passion to make a difference and hope to inspire others to do the same."
