Kraaifontein Integrated waste management Facility
Overview
Kraaifontein Integrated waste management Facility. Where distances for internal and external refuse collection service providers are too far to travel, they may make use of a transfer station to offload waste. The waste is then compacted into containers of approximately 20 tons each and transferred via rail or road to a landfill site.
The public can also drop-off Garage waste, clean garden waste, motor oil, cans and metal, paper, cardboard, glass bottle, plastic, e-waste, clean builders rubble, polystyrene and tetrapak.
Summer: 1 September – 31 May
Monday to Saturday: 08:00 – 18:30
Winter: 1 June – 31 August
Monday to Saturday: 08:30 – 17:00
Sundays: Drop-off sites will be open to the public all year round: 09:00 – 14:00
