Alcohol & Drug Outpatient Treatment Sites- Khayelitsha
Overview
‘Tik’ and other substance abuse is frighteningly prolific in the Western Cape, with serious consequences for communities. City Health is addressing this with a newly holistic approach by incorporating alcohol and drug recovery treatment sites into existing health clinics in areas of high need. Using the evidence-based Matrix® model for intensive outpatient alcohol and drug treatment, this community-focused initiative helps promote education, skills acquisition, and awareness, and provides meaningful and practical support to assist clients to become contributing members of society again.
