Pelican Park Intergrated Housing Development

Overview
Take an appropriate piece of land, a community need, an economic opportunity and an innovative procurement process, add good collaboration, and the result is a win-win. Through an effective public/private partnership, the Pelican Park integrated housing development near Zeekoevlei will provide housing for a range of differing income levels. In addition to 2 000 state funded low-cost houses, it will have ‘gap’ homes, open market houses, mixed use properties, two schools, a clinic, and a commercial centre. It is one of the first of similar mixed-use projects planned for Cape Town.
