Alberici Corporate Headquarters

Overview
Alberici Corporate Headquarters is one of the nations greenest buildings. This building has received a Platinum Certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The building was constructed using materials from the office building and manufacturing plant that was being converted to make Alberici. Some of the aspects of the building that helped it achieve its Platinum Certification include the buildings HVAC system that uses natural ventilation and under floor air distribution which allows employees to control their own air temperature. In addition to the HVAC, a 65 kilowatt wind turbine provides 20 percent of the buildings energy. Outside of the building, there are two retention ponds that will help stop storm water run off, and native plantings eliminated the need for an irrigation system. Employees and visitors will be able to enjoy walking trails and a wetland boardwalk that will give them the chance to learn about nature. There is also a rain water recycling system in the building which will allow the recycled water to be used for things such as sewage conveyance.
