Inaugurado em 1996, o Memorial da Cidade é um espaço dedicado à memória, às artes e à cultura de Curitiba. O projeto arrojado, do arquiteto Fernando Popp, contrasta com as antigas construções do Setor Histórico, exemplo de que arte não deve ter âncoras.
No Memorial da Cidade o público pode assistir a apresentações cênicas e musicais, ver exposições de arte, assistir a palestras ou participar de cursos sobre arte e cultura.
