Overview

Michigan Solar Solutions, LLC (MSS) was founded by Mark Hagerty in 2007. After over six years in business, MSS is considered one of the most experienced renewable energy design, sales and solar installation companies in Michigan. We have completed successful jobs with Detroit Edison and Consumers Energy on projects they own and control. In June 2009, Consumers Energy selected MSS to complete a Smart-Grid demonstration project at their headquarters in Jackson, MI. This system incorporated forward thinking design concepts that will not be seen in the private sector for many years. In April of 2009, Detroit Edison selected MSS to perform an assessment of their 36kw solar array in Washtenaw County which had been shut down and not repaired in more than ten years.

MSS has worked with electrical engineering firms designing systems for State of Michigan buildings, schools, municipal buildings, Army bases and private businesses including Michigan International Speedway. We have worked with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and SAIC Automotive on projects from developing solar arrays for electric car charging stations, off-grid systems to large arrays for their buildings. MSS has installed stand alone systems for site lighting, waterfront power, gate operation systems and back up power. As of fall 2013, MSS has completed over 100 jobs totaling over 600kw. MSS employs a general contractor, solar design experts and NABCEP certified solar installers. We install only US made products to employ US workers. We are Michigan’s largest Authorized SolarWorld panel installer. SolarWorld is the USA’s oldest and largest solar panel manufacturer and have been for thirty-seven years. SolarWorld is one of the only a couple manufacturers in the world that have been around longer than their panel’s twenty-five warranty.
