The Green Vision Education Program recognizes schools that practice pollution prevention, recycling, energy efficiency and waste reduction. Green Vision Schools receive a Green Vision Education flag to hang outside and a banner to display inside the building.

Marshall Elementary School received their initial award in 2006 and have received their Conservation and Watershed patches. They also have a school garden and composting.

This program is administered through the The Solid Waste Education Office, a partnership between DMASWA, Loras College, and the Dubuque Environmental Task Force. http://www.dmaswa.org/services_education.cfm
