Overview

No votes yet

New West Secondary is doing well on academic programmes; however it has become a centre of light due to the community programmes that it runs. These include adult education, food gardens and many other programmes that contribute to the upliftment of the community it serves. The school Governance, Leadership and Management working together with the school community and taking advantage of the passion and enthusiasm of educators and learners has started green programmes including rain water harvesting, energy efficiency and vegetable production through permaculture. The produce is supplied to local vegetable markets and some is donated for soup kitchens.
