This ten-mile long rail-trail parallels U.S. Highway 17 from South Windermere Shopping Center to Main Road, a few hundred yards short of the drawbridge over to Johns Island. Part of the East Coast Greenway, the trail runs through sections of the West Ashley neighborhoods, and goes by some creeks, ponds, marshes, and woodlands. .
