Einer der seltensten und kostbarsten exotischen Bäume in Darmstadt, der zum Park Rosenhöhe, dem Lieblingspark des Großherzogs Ernst-Ludwig, gehörte.
Alter ca. 200 Jahre, Baumhöhe 31 m; Stammumfang in 1 m Höhe: 4,37 m; Kronendurchmesser 29 m.
Schutzgrund: Schönheit, Seltenheit, besondere Bedeutung für Heimatkunde und Gartengeschichte.
