Narrows Botanical Gardens
Overview
Located on Shore Road between Bay Ridge Ave and 72nd Street in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn the Narrows Botanical Gardens (NBS) is an all-volunteer run garden open to the public for free. Situated on four and a half acres of parkland, NBS has been in operation for 20 years and seeks to educate and inform the local community about plants and animals, specifically those that can be found in Brooklyn. Visitors can explore many different areas of the garden including a zen garden, willow grove, and butterfly garden to name a few. They can also interact with a variety of animals including turtles, chickens, and native birds. This garden is a must visit for families and those curious about nature. NBS makes an impact on environmental sustainability in Brooklyn.
