The Lumpkin County Library has a variety of books to rent or to buy books used. The staff recycles their trash into cans and paper. Also the public can bring in their plastic bags to use for other people to carry their books in. The library also features a homeschooling section, a Georgia history section, and coffee for people to use. There are also computers to use for internet research.

Ways they have been eco-friendly include:

· Recycle paper, newspaper, magazines, cans, computer cartridges, and plastic

· Have a “free table” for the public

· Use paper towels in restrooms

· Heating and air are on a timed thermostat

· Recycle bins for aluminum cans

· Use recycled paper for flyers with announcements and notifications
