Located just south of some of the areas best restaurants and entertainment venues, the Lee Road Library is a mecca for young and old alike. The newly-renovated and vastly expanded Lee Road Library, with ample free customer parking in the back, serves not only as the main library for the system but also as the administrative headquarters.

The first floor is the hub of activity. The first area you encounter is the materials return and self-checkout area. A separate photocopy room also houses a public fax machine and an ATM for our customers’ convenience. Our stunning, retail-style A/V room holds a myriad of wonders from books on tape and material to download to electronic devices to a huge classical and contemporary music collection.

The Young Adults feel quite comfortable in a room that offers them a bank of computers, a quiet study room, a teen collection including anime and graphic novels, and a variety of work and lounge furnishings. The area includes a vending machine with healthy snacks to appeal to that ever-hungry population. Open Mic evenings and other programs are regularly offered.

The first thing to welcome a toddler into the Children’s Area is a colorful floor-to-ceiling round mural of the book cover of Good Night Moon and other familiar titles in quality children’s literature. The mural wall disguises the Children’s program room, which doubles as a homework help room after school. The collection includes a wide variety of age-appropriate puzzles, books, games and other toys that tickle the child’s imagination and help them to develop a love of reading.

The second floor houses the adult periodicals, fiction and non fiction. In addition, there are six small group study rooms available on a first come, first served basis for individuals or groups of no more than four. There is a large, glass-walled quiet study room furnished with comfortable chairs and some work tables. Cell phones and other devices are not permitted in this space.
